MARK JOHNSON

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF MULTIFAMILY DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Johnson serves as the Executive Vice President of Multifamily Development where his duties include directing the efforts of the multifamily group to source, develop and construct a portfolio of assets for GenCap and their Clients.  In his more than 25 years of professional multifamily development experience, Mr. Johnson has developed more than 5,700 units with a value in excess of $720 Million throughout the United States and England. Mr. Johnson has held executive management roles with firms such as Gables Residential, Cortland Partners, NRP Group, Fairfield Development and JPI.  Mr. Johnson has led the efforts in all aspects of the multifamily development life cycle and has extensive experience in building platforms of multifamily assets.  Mr. Johnson’s skill set includes directing the predevelopment process, including identifying and securing the sites, market analysis, financial analysis and underwriting, directing the project development teams, entitlement processing, maintaining budgets, capital sourcing, construction oversight, and lease-up management.

Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
